If someone asks us in five years which animals have impressed us the most in the Luangwa Valley, the answer would be clear:
(a) the tsetse fly – none of us is free of stings. Maartina stopped counting at 50. It itches constantly. However, it is said that the local species are not carriers of sleeping sickness. Keep your fingers crossed!

And (b) also the king of the animals. Just like elephants, lions don’t need to hide anywhere. And with their nightly roar they frighten the bush.
Und außerdem der König der Tiere. Tagsüber haben sie es ebenso wie Elefanten nicht nötig, sich irgendwo zu verstecken. Und nachts unterbricht ihr Brüllen jeden Tiefschlaf.
